Engagement Photography sessions
Nikki and Matthew’s couple photography session at Cottesloe beach was so perfect in so many ways. Dramatic sky, beautiful weather and an amazing couple to shoot with.
Simran and Dheeran’s wedding was truly amazing. Each and every ceremony and ritual was a Photographer’s delight…everything was so beautifully and tastefully done. I met Simran in Delhi at her place and we could instantly connect. One big reason was our Army background! We discussed about the various ceremonies and functions that were to be organised during the three day wedding. I met Dheeran on the day of the first function. I must say, Simran is beautiful, both inside out and Dheeran a true gentleman. The couple are so much in love and it shows in most of my photographs and the cinematic video that we made.
The wedding (ceremonies) started with ‘Ghadoli’ followed by dinner. The next day began with ‘Mehendi’ and beautiful colours & decor all around that continued till late afternoon followed by engagement and lots of dance & performances by friends and family members in the evening. On the D-day we started shooting early as we wanted to document the wedding right from the start. The day ended with the ‘Feras’ in the afternoon that was followed by ‘Reception’ in the evening.
I can’t express in words how wonderful it was to be a part of the various wedding ceremonies during the three day wedding.

One the way to weddings, I find myself getting so excited about my bride and groom and so many events and pre-wedding ceremonies that take place! I believe that every couple is so unique and I just can’t wait to see how the biggest day of their life will come together! Wedding photography gives me the opportunity to be a part of the most important season of their life.
I am so thankful to the amazing couple, Amar and Vartika, who chose me to spend the most important days of their life with them. It has been an honour to walk with them in the most exciting season of life!!!! Thats why I always tell my friends that my job is the best job. I am so grateful to do this every week, month and year of my life!!
After meeting the couple, I soon got to know that they are both so honouring and adoring of each other and completely in Love. We started talking about the various functions that were planned at Allahabad and Chandigarh both. It was even more exciting as the wedding involved both Hindu as well as Sikh wedding rituals and functions.
I started photographing the ‘Haldi’ and other rituals at Allahabad followed by the Hindu wedding in the evening. The next morning started with the Sikh wedding (Feras) at the Gurudwara followed by ‘Vidai’ of the bride. Soon after that Amar and Vartika along with Amar’s family left for Chandigarh for their reception.
The Reception
I reached the resort that they had booked for their reception and covered all the events at the reception. It started with receiving the friends and family followed by the ‘Cake cutting’. After a drink or two everybody moved to the dance floor. I remember how everybody insisted that I leave the camera and get on the dance floor. It was so much fun!! I made so many friends that day.
Not even for a moment did I feel that I was a photographer whom they had hired for their wedding, but felt like a part of their family throughout. Thank you again for letting me have the privilege of being a part of your wedding.

Nidhika is super gorgeous inside and out, kindhearted and fun! Aditya is so humble and gracious! I learnt this soon after I met them at Aditya’s place in Gurgaon for the first time. I remember both of them being so excited about the whole thing! I soon got to know that we had so much in common…Our military backgrounds for instance. It was as if we knew each other since long. We got so engrossed in chatting and giggling and laughing that we literally forgot that I was there to discuss the details of their wedding. That was my first interaction with the family and I knew that very moment that the entire wedding photography experience (03 days) is going to be super fun.
I have so many highlights from each day, be it the engagement, the haldi / mehendi or the wedding day, but one of my favorites was during the engagement. Aditya’s Sister, bro-in-law, friends and other relatives presented this wonderfully choreographed dance and song. The funniest part was that they mimicked almost each and every member of the family / extended family during this show. I cannot explain how hilarious it was and at the same time difficult for me to hold the camera still, compose my shot and shoot. It was all so funny!
Nidhika and Aditya, I loved being able to serve you on your wedding! I am so thankful that our paths crossed and I hope you had a wonderful experience as well! I love you guys!
